Alloy 33 R20033 is a relatively new chromium-based austenitic alloy introduced in 1995, which has excellent resistance to highly oxidizing media. The corrosion resistance of the alloy is further improved by the addition of molybdenum and copper. Nitrogen is present in the alloy, which makes it small in solution state, thereby increasing the yield strength and toughness of the alloy.

Alloy 33 R20033 is a Ni-Fe-Cr-Mo-Cu-N corrosion-resistant alloy with a high Cr content so far.
